Barto finished second out of 57 golfers at the Howard "Bud" Elwell Invitational hosted by Whispering Wood Golf Club. The junior posted a two-day total of 145 to finish one-over-par. He opened the event with a season-low 72 (even-par) during the first round, before shooting a 73 on day two. Barto was one of only two golfers to shoot 73 or lower during both rounds. He has recorded three consecutive finishes in the top seven, finishing seventh out of 100 golfers at the Charleston (W.Va,) Invitational and sixth out of 89 participants at the Mercyhurst Invitational. Barto has posted scores in the 70's during all 10 rounds this season. He has shot 73 or lower four times.
