Munoz helped the Gannon women's golf team open the 2016-17 season with a pair of team championships at the Evann Parker Memorial and Michael Corbett Fall Classic. The senior won the individual title at the season-opening Evann Parker Memorial with an 18-hole score of one-over-par 74, defeating the runner-up by two strokes. The 112-golfer event was orginally scheduled to be two rounds, but teams were unable to finish the final round due to lightning. The title was Munoz's fifth of her career. It was her first since winning the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester on April 10-11, 2016. The 74 equaled her season-low from 2015-16. Munoz ended the weekend with a ninth-place finish out of 94 golfers at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic. She logged a two-day total of 156, shooting a pair of 78's. Munoz has recorded a score in the 70's 16 times during the last two years.
