Salerno hit .333 (4-12) with a .667 slugging percentage and .333 on-base percentage during three games at the PSAC Softball Tournament last week. The sophomore recorded eight total bases and three RBIs as Gannon’s designated player. She reached base twice in three at-bats as a lead-off hitter while raising her overall average 17 points. Salerno began the tournament with a 2-for-4 showing during a 3-1 victory against No. 12 West Chester. She recorded one run, two RBIs, one double and one home run against the Golden Rams. Leading 1-0 in the fifth inning, she drilled the first pitch she saw over the fence in right center for a 3-0 advantage. It was her second home run of the season. In the process, Salerno recorded her third multiple-RBI game of the season. She finished the tournament by going 2-for-4 with one RBI against Kutztown. Salerno had a two-out RBI single that gave Gannon a 5-0 lead in the fourth inning while recording her fourth multiple-hit game of the season.
