Berchtold helped the Gannon women's basketball team post a perfect 2-0 record last week with victories against Clarion (77-57) and Pitt-Johnstown (84-54). The senior point guard dished out 10 assists with only two turnovers in 45 minutes during the two-game stretch. She also had five rebounds and two steals to go along with 54.5-percent (6-11) shooting. Berchtold began the week with eight points on 4-of-7 shooting and two steals against Clarion. She dished out a season-high eight assists compared to only two turnovers in 25 minutes. Berchtold then added four points and three rebounds in 20 minutes at Pitt-Johnstown. She handled the ball with zero turnovers against the Mountain Cats. Berchtold has never had more turnovers than assists in a game this season. That streak runs for 30 games dating back to last season. Berchtold also surpassed Kelly Reedy (1982-85) and secured ninth place all-time at Gannon in career assists (367) last week.
