Thies averaged a double-double for the Gannon women's basketball team during a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victories last week, resulting in a 75-55 victory at Edinboro and 78-64 home win against Pitt-Johnstown. The senior forward averaged 17.5 points, 10 rebounds and three steals during those two contests. She shot 73.3 percent (11-15) from the field and 81.3 percent (13-16) from the free throw line. Thies began the week with her fifth double-double of the season, producing 17 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high four steals at rival Edinboro. She finished 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. The performance helped Gannon record its first victory at Edinboro's McComb Fieldhouse since the 2009-10 NCAA Division II Final Four team. Thies ended the week with 18 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals against Pitt-Johnstown, Her shooting chart included a 5-of-6 showing from the floor and 8-of-10 mark from the free throw line. Thies is averaging a double-double for the entire season with 11.6 points and 11.3 rebounds through 12 contests.
