Kobowane led the Gannon men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Shippensburg last Saturday during its only action of the week. The junior midfielder had a hand in both goals. He initially gave Gannon a 1-0 lead with his second goal of the season in the 23rd minute, finishing a cross from Ivan Viveros into the lower, left corner of the net. After Shippensburg tied the match in the 60th minute, Kobowane started the game-winning scoring play in the 64th minute. He was credited with an assist on the game-winner after his initial shot was saved by the Shippensburg goalkeeper, but Chad Petterson was there to score off the rebound with the goalkeeper out of position. Kobowane has produced two goals, three assists and seven points through eight matches this season.
