Barto opened the spring golf season by winning the St. James Plantation Invitational last weekend in Southport, North Carolina. The true freshman concluded the fall season with the PSAC Individual Championship, before continuing his winning ways five months later. Barto entered the final round three strokes off the pace after shooting a 78 during the first round that included 20-25 mile-per-hour winds. He shaved seven strokes off his final-round score for a one-under-par 71, giving him a two-day total of 149. Barto easily made up the three-stroke deficit by out-shooting the first-round leader by 11 strokes on the final day. As a result, he ran away with the title and won the event by four strokes over another golfer who finished second. Barto's second-round performance was the only round under par by any golfer during the two-day invitational. He produced a score in the 70's for the 13th time in 15 rounds during the 2014-15 campaign. Barto wrapped up his fourth top-five finish during seven events this year.
