Smith will be forever remembered for one of the most memorable shots in the history of the Gannon men's basketball program. The senior guard was named 2015 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship Most Valuable Player after pouring in 37 points and grabbing eight rebounds during the Final Four. In the championship bout against No 20 IUP, Smith exploded for 22 first-half points as the Golden Knights built a 42-35 halftime advantage. But Gannon fans will only remember one shot. Tied at 66, Smith took a pass in the left corner and dribbled to the wing where he quickly rose above a leaping IUP defender to hit the game-winning three-pointer with 2.4 seconds remaining. The final basket closed Smith's night out with a career-high 27 points as Gannon captured its first PSAC Championship since 2009.
