Zelcs' victory during the 184-pound match helped the Gannon wrestling team post a 36-6 dual-meet victory against East Stroudsburg during the Golden Knights' only action of the week. Ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II Super Region One, Zelcs remained undefeated with a late rally during the final 20 seconds of his match against East Stroudsburg’s Luke DeLuise, who is ranked fifth in NCAA Division II Super Region One. Zelcs entered the final period down 2-0. Starting on the bottom, the redshirt senior cut the deficit in half with an escape. Zelcs then produced a dramatic finish, earning six points during the final 20 seconds. He forged ahead with a takedown, before getting a three-point nearfall and riding-time point. Zelcs moved to 4-0 all-time against DeLuise at the collegiate level. After not wrestling during the first semester due to an injury, Zelcs is now 6-0 overall and 6-0 in dual competition this season. He is a three-time national qualifier, earning all-america status as a sophomore.
