Caliste was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Caliste led the Gannon football team to a record-setting 58-28 victory against Seton Hill last Saturday at Gannon University Field. The senior wide receiver had 15 receptions for 227 yards and three touchdowns. All three figures represented career-highs. He broke the school record for single-game receptions, surpassing the previous mark of 12. Caliste accomplished that feat against Slippery Rock in 2012 and again this season versus Kutztown. The Roseville, Calif., native broke Gannon's single-game all-purpose record with 305 yards, surpassing Jon Richardson's previous mark of 286 against Ashland in 2007. In addition, Caliste became Gannon's all-time leader in receiving yards with 2,220 career yards, passing Sam Culberth's (2002-06) record of 2,099 yards. A week after becoming Gannon's all-time leader in career receptions, he extended his total to 190 this week. Caliste's performance against Seton Hill produced the third-most receiving yards during a single game in school history. He also tied a school single-game record with three receiving touchdowns accomplished four previous times. With Gannon trailing 28-17 at halftime, Caliste hauled in seven passes for 122 yards during the third quarter. He caught touchdown passes during three of the third quarter's first four drives, turning an 11-point deficit into a 37-28 lead in only 11 minutes and 42 seconds. Caliste helped Gannon break school records for points (58, previous record of 56 vs. Ashland in 1950), total yards (691, previous record of 639 vs. Lake Erie in 2013), passing yards (494, previous record of 428 at Slippery Rock in 2012), total first downs (35, previous record of 32 vs. Tiffin in 2002) passing first downs (22, previous record of 18 vs. Edinboro in 2013), second-half points (41, previous record of 35 at Lock Haven in 2010) and third-quarter points (27, previous record of 21 accomplished four times). The four-year starter has 61 receptions through eight games, needing four to break Gannon's single-season record. He has generated 730 receiving yards this season, needing 182 yards to break Gannon's single-season record in that category.
