Barto captured the 2014 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Golf Individual Championship last weekend at the Hershey Country Club East Course in Hershey, Pa. The true freshman was tied for the lead after both rounds, finishing the final 18 holes tied with Millersville's Rob Rowe. Barto posted a two-round total of five-over-par 147, shooting round of 73 and 74. He then defeated Rowe in a playoff hole, winning the title with a par on the first extra hole. Barto is the first Golden Knight to win a PSAC individual championship since Gannon joined the league in 2008. He is only the second Golden Knight in program history to win a conference individual championship. Dave Patronik was crowned the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) individual champion in 2006.
