Rectenwald led the Gannon softball team to a 6-2 record during a busy eight-game schedule last week. The junior was a dual threat, hitting .429 at the plate and winning four of five games on the mound. She produced a .643 slugging percentage and .448 on-base percentage in 28 at-bats last week. Her numbers included six doubles, five RBIs, 18 total bases and three runs. Rectenwald reached base 7 of 11 times when leading off an inning. She recorded multiple hits during five of the eight games, finishing the week with a 5-for-7 showing during a doubleheader at Seton Hill. On the mound, Rectenwald went 4-1 with a 3.00 earned run average and a 3.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio (17-5). She tossed a four-hit shutout during a 2-0 win at Clarion, striking out a season-high 11. In addition to defeating Clarion a second time two days later, she recorded victories against Seton Hill during two different doubleheaders.
