Kirstie Cortazzo provided the Gannon softball teams with six extra base-hits during seven games for a .900 slugging percentage. The senior second baseman hit .400 with eight runs, four doubles, two home runs, five RBIs and a .478 on-base percentage. She led the Lady Knights to an 11-2 victory against Chestnut Hill on March 3, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run. Cortazzo drove in the Lady Knights' first run with an RBI double and counted for a run in the fourth with a solo home run. In a 3-1 loss to Notre Dame (Ohio), she produced the team's lone run with another solo shot during the fifth inning. Cortazzo guided the Lady Knights to a 5-3 victory against Bridgeport on March 7 after going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. The performance included a pair of doubles.
