Papich led the No. 3 Gannon women's basketball team to a perfect 2-0 week with victories against Slippery Rock (71-39) and Mercyhurst (70-56). The senior forward averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and one steal during the two games. She shot 80 percent for the week, hitting 12-of-15 field goal attempts. Papich went a perfect 9-for-9 from the floor against Mercyhurst, tying a season-high with 22 points. She hit her only three-point attempt and finished 3-of-4 at the foul line, while adding six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 38 minutes. With the Lady Knights facing their largest halftime deficit of the season, Papich erupted for 16 points in the second half. Trailing the Lakers by two, 54-52, the Lady Knights rode an 18-2 run to close out the final 6:17 of the game. Papich accounted for half of the Lady Knights' points during the run. The Lady Knights had clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament earlier in the week with a victory against Slippery Rock. Papich had seven points and five rebounds against the Rock.
