Blazek captured the final Gannon University Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor for 2013, earning his second weekly honor of the year in the process. The junior guard helped the Gannon men's basketball team win two of three games last week. He averaged 20 points, 3.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 three-pointers and two steals during the three-game stretch. Blazek scored at least 16 points during all three contests, including a pair of games of at least 21 points. He has reached the 20-point plateau three times during the last four games, five times this season and 14 times in his collegiate career. The Erie, Pa., native also moved into fourth place all-time at Gannon with his 131st career steal last week. Blazek began the week with 23 points and four assists in 39 minutes against Mansfield. He concluded the week with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists while playing all 45 minutes of an overtime game at Bloomsburg.
