Fugate led the Gannon women's lacrosse team to a 1-1 split during the last week of the regular season, defeating rival Mercyhurst (11-8) for the fourth consecutive time and falling at 13th-ranked Indiana (Pa.) (18-10). The Lady Knights’ victory against Mercyhurst clinched the program’s fourth consecutive PSAC Tournament appearance. Fugate recorded seven goals, four assists, 11 points, nine draw controls and two ground balls in two matches. The senior midfielder began the week with five goals, two assists, seven points, five draw controls and two ground balls against Mercyhust. After the two teams battled to a 5-5 halftime tie, Fugate scored four of Gannon’s six goals during the second half including three consecutive scores to give the Lady Knights a 10-6 lead with 9:28 to play. Her goal at the 14:10 mark of the second half eventually proved to be the game-winner, representing her third of the season. Fugate ended the week with two goals, two assists, four points and four draw controls at IUP. She leads Gannon this season in goals (59), assists (38), points (97), game-winning goals (3) and draw controls (60).
