Neighbors helped the No. 7 Gannon women’s basketball team record a perfect 2-0 record last week, posting a road victory at Slippery Rock (82-64) and a home win against Lock Haven (70-62). The freshman guard averaged 10 points and three three-pointers per game. She shot 50 percent (7-14) from the field and 54.5 percent (6-11) from three-point range. Neighbors began the week with career-highs in points (15) and three-pointers (5) at Slippery Rock. She went 5-of-11 from the field and 5-of-9 from behind the arc against the Rock. The Westerville, Ohio, native hit three triples during a 14-2 run that pushed a 16-14 lead to a 30-16 advantage. Neighbors added five points, two rebounds and another three-pointer against Lock Haven. She reached double digits against Slippery Rock for the second time this season after netting 10 against Ursuline on November 21. Neighbors has hit at least one three-pointer during five consecutive games and eight of the last 10.
