The redshirt senior helped Gannon win the 39th annual Porreco Cup December 14-15 with victories against Notre Dame (Ohio) (81-66) and Virginia State (67-42). He was named tournament MVP after recording 28 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in two games. The Cleveland, Ohio, native began the stretch with his second double-double of the season and 11th in two seasons with 26 points and 12 rebounds against Notre Dame (Ohio). He added five assists while going 11-of-17 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line against the Falcons. Blanton then helped Gannon sweep a pair of PSAC crossover road games at Millersville (69-52) and Shippensburg (66-58). He reached the 20-point plateau for the fourth time this season and 14th time in two years with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists at Shippensburg. Blanton was almost perfect against the Red Raiders, draining 8-of-10 shots and 4-of-5 free throws. The forward has reached double digits in scoring during nine of 11 games this season. He leads the PSAC and ranks third among all NCAA Division II players in field goal percentage.
