Papich was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Women's Basketball Player of the Week this week. It's her third conference player of the week honor during the last two seasons. Papich led Gannon to a PSAC crossover sweep last weekend with victories against East Stroudsburg (78-68) and Kutztown (66-59). The junior forward averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, three blocks, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in two games. She shot 50 percent (14-28) from the field and 92.3 percent (12-13) from the free throw line. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native began the weekend with 17 points, six rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals against Kutztown. Gannon trailed Kutztown by three points with 15:33 remaining, before Papich scored 13 points during the final 14:30. The Lady Knights out-scored the Golden Bears 32-25 during the last 14 minutes and 30 seconds. Papich ended the week with 24 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two assists against East Stroudsburg. She had near-perfect shooting, going 8-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. The three-year starter has reached double digits in scoring four straight games after failing to do so during the first three. Papich has scored at least 24 points during two of the last three contests.
