Nadler was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Offensive Football Player of the Week for his performance last week. Nadler led Gannon to a 36-33 come-from-behind victory against Lake Erie during his first collegiate game last Thursday. The redshirt freshman quarterback finished 27-of-44 for 420 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He accounted for 96 percent of Gannon's total offense, producing 387 (due to 33 yards lost on sacks) of the team's 402 total yards.

The Leipsic, Ohio, native shattered Gannon's single-game passing record (385) previously set by Darmel Whitfield against Michigan Tech in 2004. Nadler's four passing touchdowns tied a school single-game record accomplished seven other times and his 27 completions fell one shy of Zach Boedicker's school record of 28 set against Kutztown in 2010.

Nadler was cool under pressure, leading Gannon to touchdowns during drives late in each half. Trailing 23-14, he led Gannon on an 11-play, 72-yard drive that took only one minute and seven seconds. He was 6-of-10 for 71 yards during the drive which ended with a 31-yard touchdown pass with 57 seconds left, cutting the deficit to 23-21 at halftime.

Trailing 33-29, Nadler led Gannon on a game-winning drive that started at the Gannon 20-yard line with 3:34 to play. The Golden Knights marched 80 yards in five plays in 2:29 to score the winning touchdown with 1:05 left in regulation. Facing fourth-and-two, Nadler converted a 12-yard pass for the go-ahead score. Nadler went 4-of-4 for 74 yards during the final drive.
