Dragon led the Gannon softball team to three wins this week with a 0.62 ERA and two complete-game shutouts during five appearances. The junior hurler struck out 34 in 22 2/3 innings, limiting opponents to a .141 batting average. She allowed just 11 hits and two earned runs during the week. She opened with a four-hit shutout of Mansfield, striking out 13 without issuing a walk. Her following outing, a 4-2 win over Slippery Rock, Dragon gave up two runs on four hits while striking out nine. Arguably, her most impressive performance came during the regular-season finale against Edinboro where Dragon flirted with a perfect game. She retired the first 18 batters in order before a double to lead off the seventh inning ended her bid for perfection. She settled for a one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts. She finished out the week with a save in the second game against Edinboro, working a quick seventh inning. She lowered her ERA 27 points this week, averaged 10.5 strikeouts per game and limited opponents to a .148 (4-27) average with runners on base.
