DerCola led the Gannon women's lacrosse team to a pulsating 12-11 double-overtime victory against rival Mercyhurst during its only action of the week. The junior attacker only scored one goal, but it was one of the match's biggest. After Gannon forced sudden-death overtime when teammate Jess Fugate tied the game with three seconds left in the first overtime, DerCola scored the game-winner with 1:38 left in the second overtime. She started an isolation play behind the net, came around from the right side and buried the game-winning shot into the net. The shot set off a Gannon celebration and helped the Lady Knights clinch a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) quarterfinal match. DerCola also had two assists during the victory. Both came on back-to-back Gannon goals that snapped an 8-8 tie and put the Lady Knights up 10-8 with 10:18 left in regulation. DerCola leads Gannon in assists (32) this season. She also has 25 goals, 57 points, three game-winning goals, 55 ground balls, 15 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers.
