Megan Dragon earned her second Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Pitcher of the Week award this season and fourth of her career Monday afternoon. Dragon compiled a 2-1 mark with a 1.00 ERA in three games for the Gannon softball team this week. In 21 innings pitched, she allowed just nine hits and three earned runs, walked three and struck out 33 batters. She held opponents to a .130 batting average and had a 0.57 WHIP. During a 2-0 win over Edinboro, Dragon held the Fighting Scots to two hits and struck out 14 batters in a complete game effort. The sophomore hurler faced just four batters over the minimum as only eight balls were put in play in the game.  Dragon came back to pitch another complete game in the second game of the doubleheader, allowing three runs on six hits. She took the loss after striking out eight betters to total 22 for the day. Dragon flirted with a no-hitter in non-conference action against Point Park after going six innings without allowing a hit. She saw her no-hitter broken up when the first batter of the seventh inning singled to left field. The hit would be the only one for the Pioneers as Dragon struck out 11 batters in the win. Her ERA now stands at 2.65 this season with 129 total strikeouts. She boasts a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 8.6 this season. Opponents are hitting just .251 against her Dragon, who averages 8.55 strikeouts per game.
