McKendree led the Gannon wrestling team to a third-place finish out of 13 teams at the NCAA Division II Super Regional One hosted at Gannon's Carneval Athletic pavilion. The redshirt senior will be headed to the national championships for the third time in huis career after finishing second in the 165-pound weight class. He earned his 108th career win with a 4-3 decision over Ronald Tetreault of American International during his first bout on the final day, breaking the school record for career victories. McKendree earned the trip to the regional championship bout after avenging an loss to American INternational's Ronald Tetreault from earlier this season. McKendree then lost 5-3 in the championship match to Mike Williams of North Carolina-Pembroke, to finish second. The redshirt senior now has 32 wins this season, tying him ninth on Gannon’s single-season wins list.
