Battle led the Gannon men's basketball team in scoring (18.0), rebounding (8.5), field goal percentage (66.7) and blocks (4) during two games last week against California (Pa.) and Edinboro. The true freshman narrowly missed his second consecutive double-double with 19 points and eight rebounds at Edinboro. He went 7-of-11 from the field and 5-of-5 from the free throw line, allowing the Golden Knights to remain in the game as the rest of the team went 14-of-49 from the field. Battle ended the week with 17 points and nine rebounds against California (Pa.). It was the fourth time this season he missed a double-double by two rebounds or less. Battle has reached double digits in scoring 10 times in 15 games, including each of the last three contests. He leads Gannon in field goal percentage (63.9) and rebounding (6.2) this season while ranking second in scoring (12.7).
