Griffard recorded two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying times during a close 125-112 victory at Allegheny last week. It was the Golden Knights' only action of the week. The junior posted the first qualifying time during a second-place finish in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:29.73. He then added a PSAC-qualifying time of 2:15.09 in the 200-yard breaststroke, capturing first place in the second-to-last event of the dual meet. Gannon trailed heading into the 200-yard breaststroke, but Griffard led two Gannon swimmers to first-place and second-place finishes. The efforts helped Gannon recapture the lead and the dual-meet victory was clinched with the final event in the 200-yard freestyle relay race. Griffard has recorded five PSAC-qualifying times this season, including two in each the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke. His victory in the 200-yard breaststroke was his first in that event this season and second individual win of the season. He also won the 100-yard breaststroke at the California (Pa.) Invitational.
