Deimel received an individual invitation to participate in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Men's Golf Regional May 3-5. The junior was one of only four individuals selected to play with the region's top 10 teams. The NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region championship team and the top individual not on that team will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships. Deimel concluded the regular season with a fourth-place finish at last weekend's Battle of Lake Erie at the Downing Golf Course. He posted a two-round score of 145, firing a two-under-par 70 during the first round and a 75 during a rainy second round. He averaged 74.3 strokes through 19 rounds this season.
