Johnson averaged a double-double in two games last week, leading the Gannon men's basketball team to a pair of one-point victories against Slippery Rock (54-53) and Clarion (66-65 in overtime). The junior guard averaged 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, six assists and 1.5 steals during those two games. More importantly, he scored the game-winning points with both games on the line. Against Slippery Rock, Johnson produced his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. He missed a triple-double by three assists. In addition, he was fouled with 1.8 seconds left in a tied game. Johnson made the first one for a 54-53 lead and missed the second one on purpose, giving Gannon a one-point victory. The Arlington, Va., native had 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals against Clarion. Johnson hit the first of two clutch shots in overtime, scoring on a jumper to give Gannon a 64-63 lead with 31 seconds left. After two Clarion free throws with five seconds left, Johnson then scored from the right baseline as time expired for a 66-65 victory.
