Vargas led the Gannon women's basketball team to a perfect week, winning road games at rival Mercyhurst (66-52) and No. 22 California (Pa.) (72-61). The senior forward averaged 11 points and three rebounds during two games. She became the fourth current Lady Knight to reach the 1,000-point plateau last Wednesday at Mercyhurst. Vargas ranks 23^rd all-time at Gannon with 1,016 career points. She led all scorers at Mercyhurst with 17 points, reaching double digits for the 10^th time this season. Vargas was three points shy of her season-high of 20 points set against Central State. Gannon is ranked No. 3 in NCAA Division II and No. 1 in the Atlantic region. The Lady Knights are a perfect 24-0 overall and 8-0 in the PSAC Western Division.
