Johnson led the Gannon men's basketball team to a perfect 2-0 record during the last week as the Golden Knights posted victories over Glenville State (88-80) and 18^th-ranked Daemen (68-64). The junior guard returned from a three-game lay-off with a career-high 26 points against Glenville State. He shot 60 percent (9-15) from the field, 44.4 percent (4-9) from three-point range and 1.000 percent (4-4) from the free throw line. Johnson added eight rebounds, six assists, and one steal. He was nearly perfect in the second half, going 3-of-4 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line. All four free throws came in the last 50 seconds, helping seal the victory. Four days later, Johnson topped his career-high again with 28 points against Daemen. He shot 56.3 percent (9-16) from the field, 50 percent (4-8) from three-point range and 85.7 percent (6-7) from the free throw line. Johnson added four assists, three rebounds and one steal. He produced 19 points in the second half, hitting 5-of-7 shots and hitting all four three-point attempts in the final 20 minutes. Johnson hit five free throws in the final 43 seconds. With Gannon leading by two, Johnson made two free throws with six seconds left to seal the 68-64 victory.
