Bowers led the Gannon wrestling team to a fifth-place finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships hosted by Edinboro University last weekend. The Golden Knights were the top NCAA Division II school at the event as the top four consisted of NCAA Division I teams. The senior became the first Gannon wrestler in school history to win a PSAC Championship, winning the 133-pound title. He went 3-0 as the top seed in his bracket and defeated the second seed in the finals 4-3. Bowers won via pinfall in the first round before taking a 13-9 decision in the semifinals. This marks Bowers third individual title of the season. He won gold at the National Catholic Invitational and then at the East Stroudsburg Open. Bowers is now 17-1 on the season.
