Brannen led the Gannon men's basketball team to a split last weekend at the 26th annual Gary Miller Classic. The junior forward was named to the all-tournament team after recording 19 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks against Lake Erie and Northern Kentucky. He shot 57.1 percent (8-14) from the field during the two weekend games. Against the Norse, Brannen also held 6-foot-9, 250-pound Iowa transfer David Palmer to 13 points one day after he scored 27 points against Edinboro. Brannen recorded 13 points and seven rebounds against Lake Erie. He added six points and seven rebounds against the Norse, who set a school record for fewest points scored in a game (38). Gannon's defensive effort also set a new Gary Miller Classic record.
