Gannon University Athletics

 
Elwell was inducted during the 1986 ceremony for elevating Gannon athletics in several aspects. He began his career at Gannon as an assistant basketball coach from 1961 through 1965. He also served as the golf head coach (1962-86) and cross country coach (1962-68). In addition, he was named Gannon's Director of Athletics in 1966 and served in that position for over 20 years.
