Gannon University Athletics

 
The 1949 football team was collectively honored as an honorary member of the Gannon Hall of Fame. In their first season, it went through an eight-game schedule unscathed, out-scoring its opponents 184-20 in the process. It was the last collegiate team in the nation to be scored upon, when Loras College pushed over a touchdown in a 19-7 Gannon success in the sixth game of the year.
