2008 Arizona Trip
The New Year has started and the Lady Knights had much success in the beginning of the season. Throughout the holidays, the team was fortunate enough to travel to the state of Arizona to compete in the Grand Canyon Classic. In Arizona, the Lady Knights competed in one game against the 15th-ranked team at the time, Shippensburg from Pennsylvania. The Lady Knights defeated Shippensburg 72-45. The next day the team traveled to Sedona, Arizona often called the “Red Rock Country”. Throughout the day they hiked as a team through the Red Rock mountains. It was a breath taking view and an amazing experience for the team. With the New Year beginning, the Lady Knights are excited to start their conference games and make a statement in the PSAC.
The Gannon women's basketball team has fundraised every year to make a trip during the break between semesters. The team has played in tournaments in the Bahamas and Miami, Florida the previous two years.
