Gannon University competes at the NCAA Division II level in 18 scholarship-granting varsity sports, including nine women's and nine men's programs.

After spending 13 years as a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), the majority of the school's NCAA Division II teams will be competing in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) for the first time in 2008-09. Those sports include baseball, women's and men's basketball, women's and men's cross country, football, women's and men's golf, women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's and men's swimming, volleyball and wrestling.

The men's and women's water polo teams are the only programs which do not compete in the PSAC, which doesn't sponsor the sport. The water polo teams are members of the Collegiate Water Polo Association.

There are over 350 student athletes participating in varsity sports on the Gannon campus. We are proud of the fact that as a group, they maintain over a 3.20 grade point average. Over thirty carry a perfect 4.0 GPA.

In addition, we have a wide variety of intramural sports designed to meet our students' athletic interests and provide a healthy, competitive social atmosphere. These are organized into men's, women's, and co-ed leagues and teams. Gannon also has cheerleading, pep bands, and a variety of club sports which are supported by the Student Government Association.

For those interested in competing at Gannon, we encourage prospective student-athletes to find out more about each program through this web site.
