Each athlete is required to have an annual physical examination/health screening prior to any participation in any intercollegiate sport.
Physicals are performed by Gannon University's team physicians prior to the start of the season, and no physical exam forms will be accepted from outside sources. If any additional medical examination is required at the time of the physical, it will be at the expense of the athlete.
Athletes will be given a date and time by their coaches as to when their physicals are to take place on campus.
Athletes WILL NOT be allowed to participate in any athletic practice or competition until their physical information is completed.
The final decision on physical qualifications or reasons for rejection is the responsibility of Gannon University's team physicians and athletic trainers.
The team physician(s) or athletic training staff also makes the decision on when an athlete may return to competition after an injury.
