  • The Short Story: 16th-ranked West Chester scored with 3:26 left in the game to beat the Gannon women's soccer team 2-1 Thursday morning and advance to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship match on Saturday, November 4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a scoreless first half, Sarah Kaiser (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) put Gannon up 1-0 when she netted her fifth goal of the season in the 55th minute on a pass from Taylor Lewis (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) inside the box.
  • Just 2:31 later, West Chester overcame the deficit and tied it up 1-1 on Jenny Bail's goal.
  • With 3:26 remaining in regulation, Linzi Wolfe scored the game-winner for the Golden Rams.
 
GAME NOTES
  • West Chester finished the game with a 12-8 shot-advantage.
  • The Golden Rams also held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
  • Gannon committed more fouls than West Chester, 14-9. 
  • Danitza Indacochea (Vaughan, Ontario/St. Joan of Arc) made six saves between the pipes for the Lady Knights.
