ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon women's basketball team remained third for the second consecutive week in the latest USA Today Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Knights have been nationally ranked in 39 consecutive polls dating back to the 2011-12 campaign and have received votes in the national poll at some point during each of the last eight seasons.
Bentley (Mass.) is still the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II for the 11th straight week with a 21-0 record. The Falcons earned 30 of the 32 first-place votes. Colorado Mesa (21-0), Gannon (22-1), Nova Southeastern (Fla.) (19-1) and West Texas A&M (19-1) completed the top five. Colorado Mesa picked up the final two first-place votes.
Harding (Ark.) (21-1), Emporia State (Kan.) (21-2), Wayne State (Neb.) (23-2), Drury (Mo.) (19-2) and Glenville State (W.Va.) (21-2) rounded out the top 10.
Gannon is one of four NCAA Division II Atlantic Region teams listed in the top 25. Glenville State (W.Va.), Virginia State (13th, 19-1) and Bloomsburg (Pa.) (20th, 19-3) follow the Lady Knights in the national rankings. Edinboro (Pa.) was listed among others receiving votes.

's club improved to 22-1 overall and 11-1 in the PSAC Western Division a pair of victories last week against Slippery Rock (71-39) and Mercyhurst (70-56). The Lady Knights have won 26 consecutive home games, representing the second-longest active streak in NCAA Division II.
Gannon returns to action Wednesday, February 12 against Edinboro at the Hammermill Center. The winner will own sole possession of first place in the PSAC West. The contest is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and can be heard live on 90.5 WERG, as well as online at http://www.wergfm.com
