Gannon Women's Golf in Sixth Place after First Day of Tom Kirinovic Classic

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Gannon women's golf team sits in sixth place out of 14 teams after the first day of action at the Tom Kirinovic Classic in Big Rapids, Michigan. 

Ashland is the leader after day one with a team score of 298. Grand Valley (304), Indianapolis (307), California (Pa.) (311) and Ferris State (317) complete the top five. 

Gannon's team score of 324 ties them with Wittenberg for sixth place in the standings. 

Amanda Teodorsson (Savedalen, Sweden / Porthalla) was Gannon's top golfer and its tied for 10th overall after a first-round 77. Kelly Nickerson (80), Rhiannon Ray (83), Bhanisha Nagindas (84) and Kiersten Klekner-Alt (86) combined for Gannon's team score of 324. 

The Tom Kirinovic Classic concludes Monday, September 5 with the second and final round.
