Gannon Women's Cross Country Team Finishes 19th at NCAA Atlantic Regional

Senior Rosie Cooper was Gannon's top female runner at Saturday's NCAA Atlantic Regional.
MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Gannon women's cross country team finished 19th out of 22 teams at the 2009 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional hosted by Mansfield University Saturday afternoon.

Shippensburg won the team title with 86 points. Kutztown (100), Bloomsburg (120), Slippery Rock (135) and Millersville (136) completed the top five.

Lock Haven (196), Mansfield (230), Edinboro (257), Clarion (261) and Indiana (Pa.) (306) rounded out the top 10. Gannon placed 19th with 446 points.

Rosie Cooper (Falconer, N.Y./Falconer) led the Lady Knights with a 71st-place finish, completing the 6K course in 23 minutes and 57 seconds.

Noelle Blank (75th, 24:03), Madison Steward (83rd, 24:24), Brittany Zaborowski (99th, 24:58), Jenna Szczepanski (118th, 25:41), Kathleen Driving Hawk (120th, 25:45) and Kristin O'Hern (125th, 26:13) completed Gannon's seven-member scoring team.
